We are delighted that you want to visit our centre. Thank you for choosing us for your health and medical care needs. Here’s a short guide on how to access our services.
- The first thing you need to do is REGISTER with us. We ask you to fill out a short registration form online to get some basic details on you. Keep in mind that if you wish to register with our GP Family practice, you must live in The Hague, Rijswijk, Leidschendam, Voorburg, or Wassenaar. GP’s sometimes need to do home visits and cannot do so if you live further than 10km from the IHCH. Our GP Family practice is sometimes full and cannot accept new patients during busy periods. We will inform you if this is the case. You can always register for our Polyclinic services or Dental care.
- If you are registered with a GP practice elsewhere, you must also officially de-register from their services if you wish to join our GP Family practice.
- The registration may take a minimum of 3 working days to process.
Fill out our intake form. When you register you will be asked to fill out an intake form. This has questions about your general health and medical history. This will inform your doctor on your health needs so that they can provide you with tailored and high quality care. You will then be contacted by our Patient Relations department to schedule a medical intake if necessary.
If you wish to visit a medical specialist at our polyclinic (such as a dermatologist, gynaecologist or ENT specialist), and you have Dutch insurance only, we advise that you first see your GP to get a referral. You may still visit our specialists without a referral, but keep in mind that your Dutch insurance will not cover the costs of the medical care unless you have a referral. A referral must be obtained before the specialist appointment takes place for it to be valid for reimbursement purposes.
For non-Dutch insured patients no referral letter is required.
To book an appointment, you can fill our appointment form. You will get the choice to select the department you wish to book the appointment with.
The Dutch health insurance system is likely to be different than what you are used to. It’s worth getting informed before your appointment on whether there will be costs that you may need to cover yourself. Find out more about our billing process by clicking here. We also advise that you speak with your insurance to get clarity on what is covered with your policy, and that way, avoid unexpected costs.
