I was born in Kwintsheul, in the Netherlands. In 1988 I began the Inservice A education trajectory at the Reinier de Graaf gasthuis, a hospital in the city Delft. Upon completing the training, I then continued to work as a nurse in the hospital for a number of years. In the meantime, I started my HBO education (MGZ). Upon completing this education, I worked for 9 years as a district nurse in The Hague. Afterwards I worked as a nurse in a general practice centre where I specialized in diabetes care.
In 2013 I started with the master education for nursing practitioner in Leiden. During this master education I started working at HADOKS (The Hague GP Centre). Two years later I passed my education and since then I have been working at the HADOKS.
Since June 2019 I have also started working at the IHCH as a nurse practitioner in addition to the GP post.
I specialize in acute complaints. Some examples are ENT complaints, fractures, wounds, musculoskeletal complaints, skin disorders, etc.
