Dr. Samay Nadery started Medicine at the University of Leiden in The Netherlands in 2001, received his doctorandus in 2003 and his MD in August 2005. After a clinical elective at Yale New Haven Hospital / Yale University School of Medicine, USA, he returned back to The Netherlands for his internal medicine residency program, from 2006 at Medical Center Haaglanden, The Hague. From May 2010 until Dec 2013 he focused on infectious diseases and acute internal medicine with an experience in vascular medicine at UMC-AMC in Amsterdam.

Since Dec 2013 Nadery works as an internist at Sint Maarten Medical Center (SMMC). He is one of the members of the working party of Dutch-Antillean-South American (DAS) Clinic on Emerging Infectious Diseases and Rheumatology. He is also initiator / chairman of the Retrospectus Committee (Complication Committee) and the chairman of Antibiotic Committee, until 2015 he served the Infection-Prevention Committee as the acting chairman and the Pharmaceutical Registration Committee of Sint Maarten as a member.

Nadery was in the last years active as a member of the Caribbean Vector Borne Disease Network, Pan American Health Organization (PAHO)/ World Health Organization (WHO), member of platform The Ministry of Public Health, Social Development and Labor – Sint Maarten & School of Medicine, The American University of the Caribbean.

In 2020 he took responsibility of COVID 19 care, coordination of COVID 19 at SMMC, creating guidebook, advising the government of Sint Maarten, American University of Caribbean, advising health professionals of the Islands Saba and St. Eustatius of Dutch Kingdom. His participation in COVID-19 outbreak management team of SMMC and Dutch Caribbean was one of his main activity in 2020.

Dr. Nadery joined the IHCH in Jan 2021 to contribute to the care of patients in internal medicine and infectious diseases.
